Thank you for visiting the Commencement website. We hope that these pages answer any questions you have about MIT's most important annual event, but if not, please email firstname.lastname@example.org, or call the Events and Information Center at 617-253-4795.
We recommend that community members check the campus changes page late in May for updates about parking garage closures or building access issues during Commencement week.
We would never be able to pull off a beautiful Commencement without the help of the MIT community. We have opportunities for volunteers at both the Hooding Ceremony and Commencement. (May 22: please note that volunteer registration is now closed. Thank you for your interest.) Potential volunteers should note that the MIT senior administration supports and encourages staff participation in Commencement and your supervisor can answer payroll-related questions about volunteering for either event. Each year, hundreds of staff and students volunteer their time to make the day great for the graduates and their families. Thank you! It makes all the difference.

We regret that due to space limitations in Killian Court, there are no Commencement tickets available to MIT staff. If you would like to be present to see a special student graduate, may we suggest participating as a guest services volunteer on Commencement Day? More
