Congratulations, graduates!
The Commencement 2025 ceremonies are scheduled for May 28–30. Information will continue to populate this site as details for the 2025 festivities are confirmed.
You have worked hard to reach this point. As you prepare to receive your degree, please keep these things in mind:
- Review the spring degree dates and deadlines on the Registrar’s website.
- Check WebSIS to make sure that you have no outstanding grades, obligations, or financial charges that would prevent you from receiving your degree. Remember, you are responsible for closing any loops.
- RSVP for the Commencement ceremonies by visiting degreeapp.mit.edu as soon as possible. The Registrar’s Office will contact those on the degree list who are not cleared to graduate after the degree candidates meeting.
- Only students being awarded degrees in September 2024, February 2025, or May 2025 can participate in graduation.
- If you will be attending Commencement ceremonies, order or secure the appropriate regalia.
- Learn about MIT diplomas.
- All MIT graduates will receive a traditional paper diploma. Undergraduate and Sloan advanced degree recipients will receive their diplomas at their respective ceremonies, while all other degree recipients will have their diplomas shipped to them. Review/update how your name will appear and mailing information for your paper diploma, if applicable.
- All graduating students can also opt-in to receive a digital diploma at no cost. Look for an email invitation from the Registrar’s Office and complete the steps before graduation to ensure that you receive yours as soon as it is available.
- Fill out the Graduating Student Survey (bachelor’s and master’s degrees) by reaching out to career-survey@mit.edu or take the MIT Doctoral Student Exit Survey.
